Customizing the Windows Taskbar

Has any one successfully changed the icons on the taskbar of the i617? I have read through about 2000 posts on THIS THREAD, but I have not had any luck changing the icons on my blackjack II.

My first problem seems to be I don't have the same .ddl files that these guys have. The second problem is I have some files that seem to be similar but I am unable to do any thing with them. I can't even copy them to the storage card of my phone. I have tried the normal file explorer and I have tried total commander. I have tried several of the cabs in the thread I mentioned above.

Does any one know what has to be done to edit the .dll files in the windows folder on the blackjack II?

I have been attempting to customize my taskbar for about 2 weeks now and I have had no luck.

The problem is the i617 does not use any of the files these HTC devices use. Here is a list of some of the main files they are modifying (all are found in the /windows folder on the device):

phcanOverbmp.dll (is a part of the dialer)

shellres.192.dll / shellres.192.dll.0409.mui (part of the system)

LargeTitleBar.dll (part of the phone drivers)

HTCVolumeControl.dll

The only files I have found that is even close to any of these are:

shellresapps.dll.0409.mui

shellresapps.dll.0416.mui

shellresapps.dll.0c0a.mui

I have tried every way I can think of to get a copy of these off the phone so I can see whats inside but so far I have had no luck.

If any one wants to help with this project that would be awesome. I have plenty of time right now, but I have hit a wall and I am not sure where to go next with this.
