unlocked Blackjack II data connection error

Hi i have a blackjack II from atnt (purchased last year) which was running on wm6. i had unlocked it and everything was working perfectly. i recently used the samsung upgrade to wm6.1 facility (from its website itself) and the phone; it seems; has partially locked itself.

i can use everything from making/receiving calls, to sms,(havent tried gps) but i cant get the data connection to work. i am using it in India and have obviously configured the local settings of my service provider (vodafone). however there are 3 other preconfigured services of atnt, medianet and one more which i am unable to delete (the option is greyed out) and it has a 'lock' symbol next to it. hence with my local settings, there are 4 options under 'gprs'.

whenever i try and connect, i get the error; after a brief attempt by the phone to connect; "remote party has ended connection". i sent it to get unlocked again (thinking it might be locked again after the upgrade since i upgraded using samsungs software) but despite it i am still getting the same error.

i use the activesync to sync with my microsoft server for emails and other data. i need the data connection to work properly else the phone is just a brick. a very expensive and goodlooking brick which can make phone calls nonetheless..:)

I too had the same problem with my data connection and after searching the web I found the answer. Go to SETTINGS-> CONNECTIONS and press the MENU key. It will bring up an advanced option. Under the option INTERNET CONNECTION and WAP CONNECTION should be set to MEdia Net.

Every time I restart my phone it defaults the setting to AT&T IMS, so there must be something up with the ROM I used. I haven't had any other problems connecting to the internet or using email with the exception of having to change the Connections setting everytime I restart. Hope this helps.
