How to stop omnia going into sleep mode

Hey guys

As above, ive installed IGO8 on my Omnia and it works great, however when running it in battery mode (not charging) the phone still goes into sleep mode by turning the screen black after a short time. is there any way i can stop this happening easily before i use it for navigation and then turn it back afterwards?
