Guest Maxctran Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Hey up, I'm currently using the T-mobile UK BOHH5 rom, and wondered if there is a way to alter the response of the alert LED built into the power button, as my understanding is that it can light up Green, Blue and Red. Currently I notice that it will light up Red when I put it on charge but it doesn't change colour when it is fully charged, and when I switch the bluetooth on it flashes blue once and thats it. Finally when i get a miscall, text message, etc it will flash until it goes back on standby. Is there any software or registry tweaks that would allow it to do this: 1. When the phone is fully charged the LED changes from Red to Green 2. When the bluetooth is turned on the LED flashes Blue so that i remember to turn it off when its not used. 3. When I have a miscall, text, calender alert, etc it flashes Green. I'm not sure if this is a bug from the rom i'm using and if it has been resolved with other people's custom rom's but I would prefer just to install software or tweak the registry as I'm happy with everything else.
Guest deepside Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Mine goes green when it's fully charged It's far too small and in a poor location anyway to be of any use in my opinion.

Guest dwallersv Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 (edited) I'm with others here -- too small, poorly located, and too dim to be useful as an indicator. Not to mention that I can't see it when the phone's in its case anyway :-) Also, the issue of not turning green while charging on USB is a know "issue". Mine does turn green on the AC adaptor. Besides this lack of green full-charge indicator, my Omnia never reaches a full-charge state and gives the audible notification on USB either, even though it does detect a voltage on the cable and say that it's charging. As fo the blue BT indicator, never noticed it... will give it a try. Edited January 28, 2009 by dwallersv
Guest GodsGift Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 As fo the blue BT indicator, never noticed it... will give it a try. Am on DXIA1 and when I turn on blue tooth it flashes blue once but then nothing... not that great although up till now I didnt know it could light up blue! GG
Guest mutant04 Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Hi All, Just to add my comments. My Omnia lights up red when charging and turns Green when fully charged, (this using the main charger), seems to always be red when connect via USB?? With regards the Bluetooth, it flashes Blue once when first connected, then goes off, however if I'm sending data via my PC, it flashes until the data is sent, then goes off again. Just thought I'd say, I do however agree with comments made here, the LED is far too small, in the wrong place. So at present about as much use as a submarine in the desert :) . I know you can alter options so it flashes when your receive a SMS, etc for a certain duration, 5 minutes, 10 minutes and even an hour after you receive your SMS, but surely this will do something to battery life???
