Guest Blackbird_RJ Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 (edited) Hy guys... I got my Omnia on dec 2008, and its running on DXHJ1 already. My fist problem is when my battery is around 30% or less, sometimes the phone gets very slow and most of the times its just stop working. I keep my omnia with the touchscreen lock (hold on the end button) and with the display off (quick push on power button), all the time. This usualy happens when i push de square black button to turn te display on, when i receive a call or when i stay on a long call (when i stay on a call for more then 10 mim the display goes of as it is set on config). The second problem that i´m having is that sometimes, usualy when i stay a long time like a few hours without using the phone , the "My Storage" just disappears.... and it just appears back with a soft reset. Does anybody have a similar problem?? I´m a little tired of having it reset once in a day.... Thnks!! Edited January 28, 2009 by Blackbird_RJ

Service would drop and reconnect overnight continuously. (bad service, etc.) 2. Was running app in the background like orthotalk that kept an evdo connection active. The mystorage thing would happen when I was tethered to my computer as a USB device, which locks the folder, and then I'd recieve an email update or SMS. The OS can't find the MyStorage location so it makes it. Then when I'd disconnect - It would rename the MyStorage to MyStorage2. You could also rename the folders if that was faster. Also, you can use the wifi manager to turn off the phone radio. Another option might be to connect in active sync mode - this issue doesn't happen for me when I'm connected like that, and if it does happen to you, you can choose as an option when you set up active sync on your machine not to allow the phone to recieve messages when connected. Hope that helps!

Guest Jokes On You Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 The My Storage thing happens because the device automatically dismounts My Storage when the device goes into sleep mode. This to save battery. As far as I know there is know there is no way to stop it
Guest dirty83sanchez Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 And what if "mystorage" dasappears when i´m watching a movie or, listening a mp3, or sometimes when i ´m using the garmin navi. I tried a hard reset, tried new roms and stil the same thing. :)
Guest aridoasis Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 ur storage won't disappear when watching a movie or listening to an mp3 - because these are active running apps, the phone won't go to sleep, so there won't be any dismount. as for garmin navi... haven't had any problems with it while navigating.

Depends on where your files are stored and what media player you use. I suggest DO NOT INSTALL APPS TO MY STORAGE. Sorry for the caps but this is from personal experience. If you decide to install lets say S2P on my storage when it dismounts and you try to unlock your phone its going to freeze.
Guest aridoasis Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 yup. the media app must be running on the rom instead of storage. coz as long as the app is accessing files on your storage, phone won't go to sleep, so there won't be any dismount.
Guest wahkao1990 Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 The apps you installed are causing the problems. Try hard reset and see if it persists. It won't I gurantee. Install everything to phone memory except for those that are NOT running in the background. But play safe. Everything to Phone!
