Some Noob Questions

Hi,

Hope to get a Omnia soon,

Looking to install SPB Mobile Shell 2, and would like a HTC Skin, anyone point me in the direction of the best one?

Has a cause been found for "Bricking" an Omnia?

What happens? is it component failure? can it be fixed at home?

Maybe like to try a custom ROM eventually, but if a prob occurs,

is there any way to revert back to, in my case a Vodafone ROM,

before returning the Omnia?

cannot wait to get going on the Omnia, WM 6.1 may have its faults, but it gives you scope to modify the software

Maybe someone can add or amend my answers to your post:

1. This looks like a nice HTC mobile shell skin: http://www.mrgadget.com.au/gadget/2008/htc...b-mobile-shell/

But if I would be you I'd flash an M2D rom (HTC style rom) or install Touchflo. You'll find more info in the rom section

2. I don't know a lot about Bricked omnia's but that only happens if you do stuff that you are not supposed to do in a wrong way :)

3. Make sure you have a copy of your original rom in a folder on your PC at all time. Vodafone UK roms are roms that you'll find easily on the web. If you can't find any, make a rom dump of your rom before flashing. Again, there's a tutorial here somewhere that explains you how to do it. I didn't backup my rom <_< , should have.

I'm extremely happy about my omnia and I love it, but if the HTC touch HD had the same price as the omnia when I bought it, I would've went with the HD.
