Guest kingdom master Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 i was talking to some people i work with today, i work for the link mobile phone shop in the uk, and we thought if 40 thousand spv's have been sold so far if not more, then wouldnt if benefit orange to keep the unlimited tariff on a fair use basis, i.e if your not using it for business or more than 100 emails a month then you will not be charged for using over 10mb per month. one of the networks must bridge the gap with gprs especially as orange will be the first to get the p800 next month. i would think this will increase there sales?
Guest Firaas Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 I personally think that they will end the unlimited promotion, but replace it with £6/month for 10mb limited - i.e. you get charged for anything over 10mb...
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 I certainly think the GPRS packages with be reoragansied come April/May time. £8/mb is now an extortionate amount to charge, sepecially with there being 3 or 4 phones on the market with full html web browsing capabilities, and more on the way. Judging by past experiences though, the time bewteen any announcement and actual action could be a while :/

I have my doubts but if it stays like this then im sure quite a few of us will go for it. Cas
Guest Gorskar Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 I'm sure they'll come up with something, otherwise just about everyone will simply cancel gprs at the end of the promotion. Hardly the result orange want methinks.
