SD Cards?

sorry people im a bit new at this, but do i need any software or such to put a new bigger SD Card in my spv for it to work? can i use any card?

Just put it in the phone and it will work, but it must be an SD card, you can use MMC but the SPV isn't very keen on those :wink:

Just to add to this for new members, you can use MMC but it's best to

play safe and use SD as some MMC's do not work for some reason.

Looking back on old posts the main culprits appear to be made by Scandisk. No one has ever posted a reason why this is the case.

Quite simply no

There are different manufacturing processes with

different components, circuit layouts etc.

Compatability problems always creep in :lol:

I use a 128mb MMC and that works fine.

What brand? Some of them work, I have a 64mb Kodak one that works fine, it seems to be sandisks that don't work.

Slightly off topic here -

I just got a 32mb MMC from a digital camera, which works fine - made by Lexar.

I also have a Lexar 64mb SD card, which works fine except if I leave in the phone and then switch it on, it goes to the blue smartphone screen & then switches itself off. Then won't come on again until I remove the card?!? :shock:

Any body had a similar experience?

No, that sounds very odd... Does anyone else use a Lexar?

Also, if you have a different card in the phone on startup, does it automatically shut down?
