Guest dwallersv Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 The button you are clicking isnt for taking pictures...... :) its just for picture preview.... You must click the upper hardware red button to take a picture!!! TIP: The camera button, although it can be reassigned to perform a different function, is a special button -- it supports partial and full press in the camera application for the common camera UI metaphor of locking in focus and exposure, and then taking the picture. So, pressing halfway will cause the camera to focus and set exposure; when locked and ready, the Omnia beeps and the center reticle turns from yellow to green. Pressing the button fully at that point will take the picture. None of this is news to most users. What many don't know is that this two-step process can be invoked with a single press of the Action button (press the optical mouse pad). The Omnia will go through the autofocus/exposure lock process, then take the picture, all in one step.
