Guest mitchoby Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Hey All, May sound like a stoopid question but where do you store your media files on the omnia? I keep getting an error in my music etc saying there is no disk space when using active sync. Thanks m first of all, dont use active sync! ur transferring files to the rom, ang not to the huge 8gb memory, that's why you get that error. 1. on ur phone, go to settings>connections>usb connections 2. change usb function to mass storage: my storage or storage card if u have a microsd 3. connect to ur pc 4. use whatever program you want to tranfer files. for music, windows media player has a good sync function 5. after transferring files, safely remove the hardware 6. update ur library on the omnia to be able to view the files **if you wanna use active sync again, just go to step 1 and select active sync quick note: you could've found this info on the user manual

Actually I tried that method but had the same error messages along with a corrupted file message on one instance. Did a 'hard reset' over the weekend and seems to be working fine now.

After install, it said my storage card was full. There should be at least 3 gigs left. Did active sync do something to take the rest of the storage? If so, can I delete the files and reload with active sync off? Will this fix my storage problem on my card?
