As I work in the Just Talk dept. I can help you out here.

1. When was your JT sim registered :?: If you can answer this first I will be able to help more

doubt it unless its an upgraded sim card.

An autorised nokia repair centre can apparently upgrade or replace your sim, not sure if this is true.

Orange used to, but not sure if they do that anymore.

Maybe of use? maybe not?

Unlikely. The sim has to be activated with the MMS function and CS operators can be really stroppy about activating a sim that doesn't have a compatible handset registered on the account. It brings a warning saying that it can't be added but it CAN be over writted. Just depends on who's asking and who u r talking to. Maybe Morph could help if u had his ext.

Also, GPRS doesn't work on the SPV for some reason. According to my info the GPRS pack for the SPV isn't available until 1st Feb - which is now - just. Try calling in the morning and see if they can activate it. Don't know how accurate that info is tho, sorry.

I've been using GPRS fine since November. I've also been charged for the pack (and only the pack) since then.

For PAYG? As i said, can't guarantee accuracy but i have had numerous people complaining that they can't get it to work when they 'borrow' their parents SPV. Still, i guess i stand corrected... where's that humble pie!!! ;)

Ah no I'll eat the humble pay. I thought you were talking about GPRS in general rather than just PAYG. Wondered what you were on about!

I've no idea about GPRS on PAYG so guess I'll quietly just step out of the rest of this thread...

This is a link from the Orange website it gives you the number of who you need to call

also there is a link to the prices of gprs for payg which at the moment is £3 per MB and then under the tble it then says it's £4 per MB.

Nice that they get their fact right ;)
