I'm running Manila 2d, and S2U2. Every now and then, I lose the suggestions area in my T9 typing. Its still trying to predict a word, but i can't alternate suggestions, as I can't see nay other options.

This has happened twice in the past few days, and I have only owned the phone a week. A restart of the phone fixes the problem. Any ideas what's causing it and is there an easier way to turn it on?

I have the same problem! Reading in other forum it's not just an our problem! Someone suggest me that some program could create a conflict... mah...

To fix the problem sometime you just need to close the messaging program (close doesn't mean to put it in background pushing the X), sometimes you must to tourn off your device.

Still now nobody could give me a clear answer to fix the problem.

Can anyone?

You know, the guy was just trying to help you. There's no justification for being snide in response.

You might consider that such behavior inhibits people from posting and trying to help you. I know my reaction was to just dismiss you and your question and move on after that "thanks" you shoveled, and I can imagine others react the same way.

I totally agree,no need for people to be rude with one another.

I think you will find this could be an simple honest misunderstanding due to the infamous language barrier.

The "Try using the ABC and XT9 buttons to toggle suggestions on or off " was suggested because if you can turn off the t9 as such it may force the device reactivate the t9 correctly.

Apart from that the only other thing is to wait for an update to hopefully patch the iseeue.

You would be surprised, sometimes the simple answers can be solution. This has been the case for other questions we see here from time to time.

I presume this is not the case for your problem though?

Fair enough, no worries :(

I disagree, however, that failing to understand how the T9 button works and not trying it is necessarily "stupid". There are plenty of novice users that do not understand these things. They're not stupid, just lacking knowlege.

A very good operating principle in life is "there are not stupid questions".

No, it's not.

Sure i'm a newbie, but I've already changed 3 rom several shell etc... I fixed a lot of problems, bugs etc... and this problem that I can't solve makes me crazy! :(
