Guest rickyjune Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 so can the omnia be use as a mp3 player :) if so how :D what software are you using and are you happy with it :)
Guest westy123 Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 the best 'player' i've found so far (IMHO, and i've tried a few) is S2P, (xda page here). though its still a bit buggy, it 100% free and better than many paid for apps, and it works even when the screen is turned off (i couldn't get mortplayer to do that...). at the mo' i'm copying over mp3's and albums via activesync etc. though i'd love to intergrate my omnia with 'songbird', i'm struggling with the whole MTP device support thing....if anyones got any advice it'd be gratefully received :)
Guest mobilehappy Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Omnia's included players like Touch Player and Windows Media Player can play MP3 just fine. You can also try out other free players like S2P, Kinoma FreePlay and Mort Player. But for the best result use one of these 2 commercial players. Kinoma Play and Pocket Player
Guest Akshay_LP Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 The Touch Player which is bundled with the latest ROMs is greatly improved. I'm using Taril's ROM which is DXIA2 and the touch player works very fine. Album view now actually works and scrolling is much better, and I also like the big button-ness of the whole thing. Other wise you can look at S2P, Kinoma FreePlay, Pocket Player, Nitrogen MP3 player(with skins) as other options.
Guest Master_Axe Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 I use kinomafreeplay. All my music is unsorted in one folder, itunes sorted it via id3 tags or what theyre called, and kinomafreeplay works with that fine. s2p doesnt sort your music in any ways... unless you have all your music sorted in folders yourself.
