Guest Chris64 Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 (edited) [[Hi all, I have tried using Sony bluetooth headset with "ms voice command" or "voice speed dial" but no good. i searched internet and other ppl using omnia have same problem. while other htc and nokia phones do work bluetooth voice commands. so there is no problem with windows or the headset. its most likely our lovely firmware issue. If any1 has luck please let me know. Hope the Admins will be able to help n tell us if there is any firmware update or tweak to get round this problem. See all my answers in Vodafone forums and on different other forums (use google to find) Cyberon Voice Speed Dial works on the Omnia (you can ad voice tags to contacts - and then do voice dialing) BUT the function doesn't transfer to a Blue Tooth device (in other words you cannot do Voice dialing from your BT device. I have tried all 3rd party software and NO one allows you to do voice dialing from your BT.]] [[One needs to change a setting in the registry and I couldn't manage to get an answer or patch for that yet? Is there anybody who knows, I have tried what XDA developers saying but it doesn't work so far.]] I shouldn’t buy an Omnia i900. :) Without the voice command from BT headset, it is useless for me. I’m still using my very old Sony Ericson which works perfect with 3 BT headsets. I’ve sent many e-mails to Samsung, but they just don’t bother to reply. Any Genius out there can fix this problem? Thank you. Edited January 31, 2009 by Chris64
Guest jgilfor Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 I have the Jawbone 2 BT headset, and have no problem with using it to initiate voice command mode on my i910.
Guest Chris64 Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 I have the Jawbone 2 BT headset, and have no problem with using it to initiate voice command mode on my i910. i910 fixed the problem. But, i900 still has. Sansung doesn't want to fix that????
Guest liads Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Last week I got a copy of the i910 rom (dump, not official). I'm trying to see if I can port the 'fix' from the i910 into the i900. So far I've indeed seen some interesting differences regarding the Bluetooth Audio Gateway, a new BT dll that doesn't exist on the i900, and some drivers registry differences. Hopefully, I'll have more time in my hands later this week and I'll be able to complete the test. Though, I can't promise anything...
