Guest Omnian Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 As above. If we change it in the settings, i don't think it disables the sensor. I want it completely off somehow via a registry? The reason is I need to test if the accelerometer is causing my random shutdown... :) Sometimes, when I give a slight knock to the Omnia (putting in my pants or just putting it on the table) my Omnia shuts off by itself. I don't think it is a battery connection cause the battery sits rather nicely. Thanks in advance.
Guest rvanevery Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 have you tried first disabling the auto rotate?
Guest zagzag99 Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Or try RotationService.. set it to enable on no process (via the config.xml)
Guest lustercell Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 Start>Settings>Motion Sensor Change to Manual. That should do the trick
Guest Yunabeco Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 You can try removing accsensor_app.exe from the startup list, using things like SKTools or messing with the registry (removing it from HKLM/init) and resetting. Now if you want to remove the whole driver you can remove HKLM/Drivers/Active/67 and HKLM/Drivers/BuiltIn/accsensor from the registry and soft-reset. Haven't tested it; Make sure you backup (export) the keys before deleting them, if you do.

I don't really use the feature.
