Guest Diggedy Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 Hi there Im having a few issues with my micro SD card and my new omnia. Im syncing music to it via medi player, adding a few pictures via the file explorer in the device centre program. Everything seems fine, but after a bit of usage with the phone, the next time i connect the phone it reports the memory card is full. Ill be lucky if ive copied 1-2 GB of files onto it. Ive had this card a few months now and have used it in a few other devices but ive never come across this problem. Anyone any idea whats going on with it? thanks
Guest Diggedy Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 with a bit of playing ive narrowed down the cause, just not the solution. when i update the library with touch player, this is when it happens. If i use media player its fine. obviously my temporary solution is not to use touch player, but its still a pita :)

Guest Diggedy Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 I couldnt find any duplicate files so im guessing this must be a different fault. I spent the whole day fiddling with it, trying various mp3 players installing programs etc. but as soon as i try touch player again, my memory card reports its full. shame really seeing as touch player is pretty decent and all the other good ones you have to pay for :)
Guest Jacobofski Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 hi there I had the same problem with my i900. The problem as I see it is that it was initially formatted as FAT16. I backed up my memory card and reformatted it with the hard reset utility in the control panel. I had the same problem with my onboard memory - "My Storage". I backed it up too, and did a format of the onboard memory - the only problem with this is that the utility will perform a hard reset. In this case you have to restore all your data and reload any application that was not originally on the phone. The onboard memory where Windows Mobile is located is also formatted as FAT16, with the result that the sector sizes is 2k in size. While the "external" onboard memory and the micro SD card is now formatted as FAT32 whith the resultant sector size of 512 bytes. I hope this will help. It worked for me. Guest Diggedy Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 at the minute my storage memory (the small one on the phone) is tfat, the 8gb onboard memory is fat32 and the memory card is fat32.
Guest Zephyrot Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 This has happened a lot of times before to me, and Ive found that the problem is when I disconnect the phone or close Windows Media Player when it is transfering songs. When I transfer songs I just dont touch the WMP or the phone and let it finish... after it says everything is finished is when I touch it again. The problem can be solved just deleting the files on the memory, you dont even have to format it. Ive tried searching the whole memory (with Resco Exp, so i can see hidden files) and the files sucking the menory just are not there :) Just delete everything and problem solved. Hope this can help.
