Guest zagzag99 Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 I am not sure if this is a general thing but since I ROMed to DXHL3 (Final of Taril) I noticed this interesting behavior: When the phone's battery reaches a low state the Phone feature turned itself off. The phone still works as a PDA (in flight mode) but without any visual notification (only the beep tone of having the Phone feature on/off). Did someone noticed this ? Is this part of the new power scheme ?
Guest mm79k Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 this applies to old roms as well. I've noticed it when I first got my omnia in august, whenever the battery reaches a specific percentage (10% if I remember correctly) the phone feature shuts itself off and backlight is dimmed
Guest ivanxxx Posted January 31, 2009 Report Posted January 31, 2009 I have the same behaviour with i900DTHJ6/MCR02, I think it's unnecessary but it depends..
Guest leighaus Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 i think its alright, suits emergencies, where it will save the batt til u HAVE to make a call, but u wont get incoming calls...

I haven't tried to make a call, but the phone feature shuts off in less than 2 minutes, so I don't know if it won't hung up the call. I'll see if I'll get a chance to test it. The thing is that you won't get incomming call (if those are the emergencies) or SMS. And the problem is that it switches off without giving you any good notification. A small "beep" is bad.. it should vibrate at least ... otherwise you will never know why no-one called you for hours.
Guest yodrak Posted February 1, 2009 Report Posted February 1, 2009 . . I've noticed about this as well. Don't like it. :)
