Guest 3shirts Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 (edited) Is it the number of pictures/videos or some other factor that determines when pictures go into what folder? It's annoying that when I open the Media Album, only my latest photos are there and I have to go Up and then into the other folder. Edited February 2, 2009 by 3shirts
Guest Kendle Posted February 2, 2009 Report Posted February 2, 2009 I noticed this a couple of days ago, it seems that after 100 shots it creates a new folder. Quite annoying really.
Guest zha50 Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I noticed this a couple of days ago, it seems that after 100 shots it creates a new folder. Quite annoying really. It creates a new folder every 100 shots, the 101 designating the 00101 image file name. This behavior is not uncommon. Many digital cameras, compact and DSLR display the same traits.
Guest Andy Q Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Yes that's right, a new incremental folder is created after every 100 shots...
Guest Rolle Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Yes that's right, a new incremental folder is created after every 100 shots... Hi Andy, That's right but my question is : what can we do about it to prevent this happening ? I checked in the register and I could reset the counter and then it starts again in 100SSCAM but after 100 pictures I am back to 101SSCAM :excl: For me it's VERY important that all pictures end up in the SAME directory since I am using software that collects the pictures from the directory and upload them via FTP to a server so the directory MUST remain the same or I need to change the settings in the software every 100 pictures which is a pain in the butt. Has anyone a solution to this annoying behavior ? One solution is to reset the picture counter back to 1 then the directory remains the same IF you don't take >99 pictures but I would like to see the solution of keeping the same directory. Best regards Rolle
Guest maf107ezk0 Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Well, you can use MortScript and make a file that changes the registry key, so everytime you get near the 100, just open the .exe But then the other question remains - if you have all the pictures from 0-100 it`ll still save the picture as 101?!

Hi, Thanks for your prompt reply. The pictures I upload to the server do not have to be saved or used later, these pictures are taken in a vehicle uploaded to the server for an audience to see them, once done these pictures are worthless and can be deleted from the camera. Would MortScript be possible to reset the registry all the time ? The main reson for the whole thing is that the pictures do not exceed 100 so a new new directory is created. Best regards Rolly
Guest maf107ezk0 Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 Yes, it would help, ask someone who can to do it as I`m not that good :excl: Basicly, the script is an executable that will reset the picture count through the registry editor (you just have to find the key) :excl:
Guest jbr05ki Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 They create separate folders so when you open the pictures, it won't take long to show the thumbnails. I put my MicroSD from my ENV and it froze my phone. After I separated about 100 pictures a folder everything worked better.

In between I'll surf around and seek another solution. Thanks for your prompt reply really appreciated. Best regards Rolly
