Guest barbs666 Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Hello i900 lovers/wm6.1 enthusiasts! Is there a simple battery display application/.cab that ONLY has the battery bar replaced to a XXX%??? I find the battery programs with 5million features that i don't care for, need to know or want displayed totally impractical...... Also is there a .cab to remove the "live" option on the bottom of the today screen? Or for that matter give you options of what to have there? Cheers to all those that help, and a big thanx in advance! :)
Guest thepeoplesclub Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Have you tried batti? It's freeware and is a simple coloured bar on the top of the screen that indicates your batter level. Must have.

Guest barbs666 Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 After upgrading my kaisers os to a new cooked WM6.1 with manilla 2d on it, I no longer had room on my today screen for batterystatus. So, I decided to try out batti since it seems to be so popular as a battery indicator only to find that it puts a nice little battery % indicator right in the same spot as HTC task manager puts the x button. Since I find task manager to be slightly more useful than batti I decided to remove batti. The problem is is that even though batti has been removed and I searched through my registry and removed all leftover registry keys for batti, the % indicator is still there. Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of it? http://www.modaco.com/content/pocket-pc-so...there-by-batti/ The post above says that batti places itself over symbols in the task bar..... any users with WM6.1 / I900 omnia can report on this issue??? I dont want to try it if it is going to go crazy on my i900. Thanks :)

Thanks :) Just letting you know that Batti is good, but not what I wanted..... all i wanted was a XX% indicator in place of the original battery indicator. Batti just reduces my screen by placing a line across the top indicating battery power. Good, but the trap is if you adjust the width of the indicator to over 15pixels it will sit itself over the close icons and whatever else you have up there. be warned. Only way to get it off is to use activsync and unistall it. more to come :-)

Guest mmarcuse Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 Have you tried batti? It's freeware and is a simple coloured bar on the top of the screen that indicates your batter level. Must have. I had an interesting experience with Batti. I installed it a while ago and thought it was the greatest. Then I noticed my battery seemed to be draining faster than usual, even with Bluetooth off. I checked the CPU utilization, and Batti was using 5% consistently. Doesn't sound like much, but if I were to run the CPU at 100%, it would drain my battery within an hour or so (Pandora takes my CPU close to that, and I cannot use it unless I'm plugged in, or the battery goes flat in a hurry). I'm extrapolating a bit, of course, and using 5% CPU for 20 hours is probably notquite the same as 100% CPU for an hour, but over the course of a day, the constant 5% load would explain the noticeable faster battery drain. I was using Batti 2.4, which supposedly addressed CPU usage issues. I checked the project page and it's discontinued, so it's unlikely there will be any fixes forthcoming.
