Guest rookafella Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 Have you guys noticed the problem when using the Keypad in non-standard windows input (Opera, SMS-Chat etc.) if you are typing fast, letters start to get missing. The same problem is with the Phonepad. The Keyboard on the other hand is working fine as you don't need to press the same key more than once.. That makes Keypad really useless, but I wish I could use it in portrait mode

That makes Keypad really useless, but I wish I could use it in portrait mode I have been noticing the same problem. Im not sure what causes it. Even with no other programs open and just using Opera or sending a text, when i use the "Samsung Keypad" mode, i could be typing a work out and if for example spelling "AND", i can press the button once for A, then N but even though D is the first letter on the button im pressing it can take up to 2 times to get it to put it in. Not sure what it is...
Guest Dblocker Posted February 3, 2009 Report Posted February 3, 2009 I use PhonePad but in xT9 mode instead of multitap. I type pretty fast and haven't noticed any issues. In multi-tap mode it seems to me that the longer the word you're spelling the slower it gets in switching from the first letter to the 2nd. So I only use multi-tap to enter passwords and url's. Now I just wish PhonePad had a quick way to insert a period - something like the BB where you can double press the space key to get it...
