Threaded messages in wrong order

I tried searching for this with no luck so here goes. I used PPC PIM Backup to copy all the data from my HTC Touch Diamond to my Omnia and all the messages in the default threading view are out of order. E.g. messages from today appear before all others so I have to keep pressing Older to read them. I have used PPC PIM Backup to copy between different devices before and never had this problem.

This morning I received a message and had no idea where it was so I had to disable threaded messaging to read it. I personally prefer threaded messaging enabled so I would like to find out why it's doing this.
