Guest alvinezz Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 Hi guys, anyone using Martin Fields Screen Protector here? is it good? I also heard using its Camera lens protector causes worse image quality than normal (not use it) - especially in pics taken with flash?? Can anyone comment/confirm? Thx. :)
Guest Blobs Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 I've had one for some time now. It has got some marks made with fingernails I think but they only show when held at an angle to catch the light. Interestingly, you can peel it off, wash both sides then reapply it.

I use a stylus on my screen and they do get light scratches over time. Get some displex to keep it looking better if you do use a stylus. Had mine for 2 months now. Definitely do not use the camera protector if you use the camera much. Flash photos come out very bright and hazy because the protector catches the light fom the flash. Not too bad without the flash but still not as clear as without the protector altogether. Mine was removed very shortly after fitting it . I keep my omnia in a leather case with a camera cutout and it has no marks whatsoever. Col
Guest alvinezz Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 thanks all for the reply..ive got Martin Fields on my Omnia screen now (and not using the camera protector as advised :) ) my complain is that this screen protector catches fingerprint very easily!!! T___T not good obviously for touchscreen phone like Omnia! =( my screen is full of fingerprint after use the phone now that i have to wipe it very frequently =( Does this happen to u guys? for expensive screen protector like this, I expect better.. =(
Guest natalie1981_cutie Posted February 5, 2009 Report Posted February 5, 2009 I'm using Brando. It doesn't leave any scratches and fingerprint smudge are minimal. I would highly recommend this one. Much cheaper than Martin Field's too.
Guest alvinezz Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I'm using Brando. It doesn't leave any scratches and fingerprint smudge are minimal. I would highly recommend this one. Much cheaper than Martin Field's too. which Brando do u have? the crystal clear one or anti-glare one? I have found alternative screen protectors.. 1.bodyguardz.. apparently it is crystal clear yet minimal finger-print.. 2. sgp anti-fingerprint .. but apparently has anti-glare look, i.e. hazy/cloudy/grainy (according to a forum I read) any has used these screen protectors? Im thinking to buy another screen protector to replace my Martin Fields because of fingerprint issue!! :)
Guest natalie1981_cutie Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 The Ultra Clear one. The one with the pink on the packaging. Really nice. only $10 w/ shipping if you get it directly from brando's site.

Guest Flaw1973 Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Well, i bought ´martin fields first, but a few weeks later it was all scratched. Now i'm using "Zagg full body" (I only applied camera, buttons, front and rear), and it's wonderfull, in the first 2 days after applying, the phone had a strange texture, but after that it's very good. Check their website, and the scratches tests they have... Zagg.com
Guest prelude Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 I'm using purplemoo's protector. Very clear and very easy to apply. can get them at www.purplemoo.com if you're interested. I'ld advise not putting on the camera protector because without the protector, the picture quality is already not that good.
Guest OzzyW Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Hmm.. didnt your omnia came with a screen protector ? I've noticed that when I press the screen it's pretty soft.. gets pushed inward a bit .. But on another omnia of a colleague i felt his screen was very solid.. No bending of the screen possible whatsoever ... he had a silver i900 .. I have he black one.. Anyone knows more? I would like to have a more solid screen :D
Guest yojoe600 Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 i have invisible shield since December when i got the phone
Guest Uribam Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 The Zagg Invisible Shield is pretty nice, but it's a pain in the neck to apply the full body. I have the whole thing on my Omnia and a little bit of carelessness while applying the shield causes it to not line up perfectly. Even with some gaps in the shield it's pretty nice, and if you get it make sure you don't overlap any of it. This'll cause it to peel off a bit where the one piece overlaps the other.
Guest Rob V Posted April 29, 2009 Report Posted April 29, 2009 FWIW, I'm using the screen protectors sold by Verizon (wanted to have one on there right away!). I think it was about $10 for three protectors. Seems to work fine, and the appearance is virtually identical to the native screen in terms of fit, feel, shininess, etc. I don't see any difference in touch sensitivity with or without the protector. And while all of these are going to get smudged up with fingerprints and sweat when you're talking on the phone, it cleans up well with a quick swipe on the pants leg... :D I've been using the stylus a lot since I got the phone a month or so ago, but other than a few hairline scratches, the film is still in great shape. Reading the package, it turns out that these are made by Xentris Wireless (www.xentriswireless.com). They sell their 'Screenguardz' protectors on their own website at $12 for 15 of them -- less than a third of what VZW charges for what appears to be the same product.

I would like to have a more solid screen :D Yep mine did, but its a little too small in size and the edge gathers dust/dirt. The one i bought fits the entire screen perfectly. My screen is also soft like yours. When i pressed it feels soft and depressed down. By the way I've used bodyguardz and invisibleshield before. My verdict, give these a miss and find nice casing and a good screen protector. The bodyguardz & invisibleshield looks good after you apply them (got to wait 2 to 3 or 4 days though). But after a while you will see dust and dirt stuck along the edges and then soon, one corner will peel and more dust and dirt will get stuck and the cycle continues until the darn thing makes your phone looks ugly. Then you will decide to peel away everything and throw it away.
