hi everyone, i'm currently using the i900 from singapore.

my pda and phone versions are as follows: PDA: i900DXHH3/DZHH3, PHONE: i900DXHH3

i tried to upgrade my firmware according to the latest version available at samsung's website, DZHK3 (singapore), but the error "incorrect software version" popped up.

i then tried changing my phone's preconfiguration but it was already set to "singapore".

i also tried using the rom from the philippines DXHK3, but again i received the same error message.

anyone have any idea what's wrong, and what remedy is there?

thanks

Sorry, my english is not good.

what windows version is used when you updated firmware ?

Windows XP or Windows Vista ?

I recommended you to use windows XP to update the firmware.

Because I have seen much thread that inform windows vista is trouble when updated firmware.

I have made the upgrade one hour ago. Because I have windows vista on my laptop and I read that it is better to do that on windows xp, I tried to install vmware but didn't work for me.

I download the official firmware from Samsung (Philippines), but before i changed the preconfiguration from Indonesia.

To change preconfiguration settings:

* Press the "dial" key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer

* With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*#

* Select 'Preconfiguration'

* Enter code *#81230*# and select OK

* Select "Singapore" with the default operator SingTel

* Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET

Also, I tried this method , but again no luck for me... maybe is useful, so i I download the official firmware for vista and I start the installation. Before check your usb connection.

I bought my Omnia from ebay, so no warranty for me. I live in Canada.

now my pda and phone version is: PDA: i900DXHK3/DXHK3, PHONE: i900DXHK3, the old one it was PDA: i900DXHG3/DXHG3, PHONE: i900DXHG3 :)

i changed it to the philippines, which resulted in a hard reset, and then tried the update.

which means you downloaded the philippines firmware, and successfully updated your omnia with preconfiguration set to indonesia?

right now, i've lost all my files on my storage thanks to the hard reset, even though i was assured that my storage card and my storage would be untouched.

to make matters worse, i still can't update my firmware, which means the hard resets were pointless to begin with.

really hope someone has a solution to this..
