I have the omnia with version DXHH1 but it seems a bit sluggish. Updated to this at the weekend.

Can you recommend the best rom/firmware version available at the mo.

Well, it all depends on what you need.

The best official samsung rom I've had is the latest one: DXHK3

If you want a custom rom that is stable, fast and has all the apps, try Taril's roms

Then again, if you like the HTC Manila interface, try the M2D roms.
