eMbedded Visual Basic Runtime

Hi;

I am an airgun fanatic. I downloaded a software for airgun ballistic calculations called Chairgun Mobile for my omnia win mobile 6.1 from url: http://www.chairgun.com/offset/cgm.htm

zip package includes 4 files:

setup.exe

setup.ini

cgm.cab (chairgun mobile cab file)

msvbppc.armv4.cab (eMbedded Visual basic Runtime)

I put these 4 files to my storage section of phone

first I run the setup but win me says its not a valid application

after I installed cgm.cab main software and run it, after run it gives message: this software requires eMbedded Visual basic Runtime

I installed msvbppc.armv4.cab to my storage and at the end of installation it said: failed to install msvbppc.armv4.cab

I tried to instal this cab file to my device (not to my storage) it said: Failed to load resource DD MSDAERTR.DLL after I push to OK it says again: failed to install msvbppc.armv4.cab

In conclusion I can not use Chairgun Mobile because I can not install eMbedded Visual Basic Runtime

Can you please help me to solve this issue ? What must I do for it ? Is there an emulator of eMbedded Visual Basic Runtime

Yes there is. It is very VERY difficult to find. Took me many hours and then when I had to hard reset my old phone I lost it and took me many more hours to find it.

For the record, the only place I think it still exists is on the site of a guy who makes various astronomical programs for PPC. These can be found on http://www.freewarepocketpc.net but I have updloaded it here for you. It works for my Omnia i910 and also worked with my XV6800.

Try it and let me know how it works. I have not used the Vb Runtime for games, only the astronomical programs.

It did not worked, I mean I tried to install this cab file to both my device and my storage, everytime it said: Failed to load resource DDL MSDAERTR.DLL

and after I push the OK it goes to the end, at the end of installation it says: failed to instal ........cab

What must I do ?
