Resco Contact Manager!

Resco just released a new app for contacts! It is still beta but looks really promising.

Testing it now.

tested it yesterday has alot of bugs as its only beta level, big bug on omnia as keypad does not work so it is pretty much unusable for time being till it gets officially released, has alot potential as it covers alot of things and looks great prefer it to most others.

indeed :) totally agree with you. keypad worked for me after i soft reset the phone.

anyway i have checked their forum they look really determined to fix many bugs on next releases and i cant wait!

i think next release date will be on 17.2.2009. just for the record :D

im gonna use it for a bit more to see how it goes.

It does not displace the built in contact manager ie call from within phone app, so it is necessary to call it up some other way.

Once this so from beta to full - can you replace the default contact manager and use this instead?

There's a known issue on the Omnia with that the keypad pops onto the screen then dissapears so unable to make calls unless phoning an exisiting contact.

u can set by pressing call button to open the contact + dialer..

but like other people said, sometimes the keypad will disappear from the screen..it's bug..

i wish they can provide their own caller id screen, contact editor and sms reply..

other than that i'm very satisfied..its super fast :(

I have fixed the keypad issue on my omnia

in options i have unticked 'Handle incoming calls' (didnt want this enabled as use S2U2 to handle calls)

send key action is set to - show keypad

Omnia users, be careful with this. It messed up the Omnia Dialer, I couldn't open the dialer after soft rest before I selected and dialed a contact from the Resco Contacts.

Also incomming SMS were not counted by the system, so any today screen plugin will not show you missing SMS.

And yes, I've played with the settings, tried "Handle incomming calls" and tried all the checkboxes... it's just a buggy version that the only way I managed to recover from was with Hard Reset.
