Guest barking sane Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Hi All, My bluetooth headset works fine for telephoning but I can't get it to play music or GPS instructions. In partnership settings, hands free is checked and there are no other services listed, I have tried refreshing. Headset is one of these http://www.cardowireless.co.uk/shop/produc...products_id=144 for a motorbike helmet. Cheers Dave
Guest barking sane Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Ah, just found this on the Cardo website: At this time none of the Cardo products are compatible with the A2DP profile. So do I have any options?
Guest daskalos Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Nope you don't have any options because from what I read in the Ad, it's only for listening to FM radio and the bluetooth function is for calls only (like single bluetooth earpieces) that's why your getting one setting when connecting it with Omnia (handsfree)...when the Ad mentions: "connect to your MP player" It can only be done using the provided cable to connect a music player to that headset... But there is still a way to route music to the headset,I'm not sure that it will work on that model, but you could try it. There is an app somewhere (search the Net) that is called a Bluetooth Audio Router, which routes all audio from a device to single bluetooth earpieces (there is 90% percent chance that it will work on your model) but there's a catch. Since that headset doesn't support A2DP, the audio that will be routed would only be in mono and the sound quality is far from using wired stereo earphones.
Guest barking sane Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Tried installing this btaudsp.cab It turns off the phone speaker but still no music to the headset The handsfree still works and I can hear a glimpse of music at hangup
Guest daskalos Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 try this...download the attached fileBTARouter.exe
Guest barking sane Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Hello daskalos, thanks for that. I'll give it a try.
Guest SARS151 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Check out these Sony A2DP headphones...they are the best quality headset/headphones out now...Works great with my i910 and can switch back from music to phone easily. Only problem is the fit on the ears when you exercise. I got mine on Ebay for $70 http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores...552921665493068
