Guest bobobird Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 (edited) Thx sardor and shokka Just a couple of points - google maps could have been removed. Latest version includes the location feature called Latitude. - Media Album could have been left in (only app that can tell which pic is geotagged and which is not). - psShutXP is redundant - reboot feature is available via shortcut created by ClearTemp. - Mobile Start-Up Manager could be replaced by the more capable and wider utility of fdcsoft_taskmanager (both have a similar interface). And congrats on moving away from the borders on the container icons. Edited February 7, 2009 by bobobird

Guest enoir Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Shokka this is most stable M2D I have come across so far. Touch Screen very responsive and no bugs spotted as of yet. An excellent balance of included apps too. Good work!!
Guest shokka9 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 all good enoir, still using 19b. It works, for some reason, mine seems to work very well. :D thanks for your comments. :)
Guest sector Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 keep it up bro :). I will soon check with the non dotted lines i havent forgot you :D
Guest shokka9 Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 keep it up bro :D . I will soon check with the non dotted lines i havent forgot you :P no probs bro. :) I got rid of them on the home screen, in m2dc if you disable line 1, 2 & 3, they disappear. Not as easy as that with other pages. I have even made the othe other images disappear (empty files), but they still appear?? Very confusing... Been playing with WAD2, got a nice Vista theme rocking, but still just playing at the mo, learning all the diiferent things you can do. It takes forever!! :) Talk soon ;)

I'll flash my device as soon as possible with this rom. Any comments about battery life? P.S.: Had the WAD vista theme as well and it looked amazing, but not finger friendly at all.
Guest bobobird Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 You a hard person to please.. :D No worries Bobobird, i look forward to seein ur ROMs soon!! :) 1 - not really hehe 2 - have been toying around with that idea for couple of weeks, but you guys are so far ahead, I just sort of chicken out. Could still happen though... NP about the Media Album, cab will work is fine. Will flash after returning from the gym. Cheers
Guest shokka9 Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 @ MrJoneswii Battery life is normal, actually, i havent charged it since Thursday, but not used that much, still got 60% left, so all good. WAD2, yeah, not very finger friendly, but when i figured it out, i wil attempt a finger friendly theme. Getting good at it, new pages, gestures, just toying with it. Need some icon packs (on my PC), to get it more personal. @ Bobobird. All good, await your review. Take care Thanks for all your comments.
Guest ramzaldabi Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 (edited) really I like your rom very nice and I think u will be my best romer for long time :) I like many think in your rom like the The battery built economic the Sensitivity of the screen is excellent No errors I thinks that this programs is not necessary like Dice Digital Frame Podcasts RSS Reader and we can add its manually So opposite serious that this programs is important but u remove it Media Album Microsoft Office This what I see but u are not Cramp on it I hope u add Opal Comm Manager 2.7.1.8 Instead of FavoriteSettings and add HTC Task_Manager 2.1 34837.5 b because its better task manager Is its possible to add Other thems from here ? undefined thank to u and I waited Your reply Edited February 8, 2009 by ramzaldabi
Guest arasman Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 thanks for the rom what can i use instead of the internet sharing removed? cheers
Guest shokka9 Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 thanks ramzaldabi - Programs not needed - Dice etc, i left them in, as some people want. I will remove digital frame and put in media album. Podacsts & RSS reader, some people use (not me), so i leave them in - Office may make a return in the next ROM (depends on popularity) - Favourite settings work and is designed for the Omnia, so i leave it in. You can install comm manger from cab if you like it - HTC task manager, i cannot get to work properly in M2D mode, it is fine in non-M2D mode, so i leave out for now..(may be in next ROMs - if i get to work properly) ** YOU CAN ADD ANY THEME YOU LIKE, i suggest backing up the current theme first so you have something to go back to?? But any M2D theme will work, just like any other M2D ROM. ** Thanks for your comments, always welcome as ever. I will take your points into consideration for my next ROMs. It is not easy trying to find the right balance of apps to remove and include, but Digital Frame is out and Media Album in for now (thats defo)
Guest arasman Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 (edited) hello i want to flash this as soon as i find a xp but no internet sharing? how can i find app that will take its place or a working cab for internet sharing? anybody? Edited February 8, 2009 by arasman

Guest Stevenh Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Installed this ROM but had 2 issues: 1. Samsung Panel was removed - but this was solved as I created a cab myself with the newer FS panel :) 2. On startup after hard reset etc I get the screen that says it's custom version, then a while later I get a background image in yellow. Not sure if it's a warning or your signature picture, but everything else seemed to work fine... Anyway, because I wasn't sure of (2) above, I've removed it... Steven
Guest shokka9 Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 stevenh 1. I said i removed it.... :) 2. Yeah, thats mine, look at my icon here, its what i use now, just so you know its me. Remove what you want, its now your ROM, i just provide the goods. Have fun
Guest bobobird Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 (edited) Installed LITE Very lite, extremely responsive. Excellent job. Storage - 157mb Programs - 66mb Not sure if you have used UPX or not. Startup - custom edition, replace with shokka edition ?? - Lightning bolt ?? LOL Btw, t2008 did an excellent replacement of the startup sequence. One other thing with screen align colours - screen should be all white so that one can see the white dot inside the crosshair at the corners. DiamondBlack theme comes up Grey/Cyan!! These can go - Guava bubbles theme Customer Feedback Error Reporting VOD registration Help (btw every cook keeps the Help, is it impossible to remove) Input - Transcriber is useful for quick and dirty note taking or drawing on the go. Consider returning it. On the other hand, letter recognizer can go. Phone - One advantage the default SS phone app has over the default winmo dialler is that Contacts can be called up from within the phone app and so do not need Contacts to be assigned to the precious few softkeys we have. Will take a bit off the free mem but probably worth it. TOPNOTCH Lite edition. Now to test the M version. Thx bud nice one Edited February 8, 2009 by bobobird
Guest shokka9 Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 thanx bobo diamond black theme shouldnt be in there, that was for something else?? No mind, its tiny file. i leave the files as they are, guava bubbles may be somebodies best theme? :) cant remove error reporting, just learnt how to disable it (sector). VOD registration, doesnt work, just appears still, cannot remove. Same with help (should work) Will probably leave in transcriber next time (you not the first to request it). Oh, the lightening strike is me, SHOKKA. SHOCK your system!! Enjoy, and comments defo welcome
Guest bobobird Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 (edited) :) :D :) Btw was just wondering about the bare (lite/clean) editions. Perhaps even the MS apps should be removed ?? Afterall, these editions cater for those of us who like to 3rd party everything ?? Edited February 8, 2009 by bobobird
Guest shokka9 Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 they are not as easy, the whole SYS kinda relies on a lot of it being there. Maybe one day, when i have the skills to. I know what you mean tho. Good idea too
