Hi all,

i've read through the forum, and used the search function but either can't find anythin gor i've missed it, for some help.

I have a i900 that i tried to ROM update using samsung site and now it appears i have a brick.

My phone version was achh3 and the samsung site gave me a updater to i900ACHJ2.

so using the offical samsung updater i ran the program. It all looked like it was going ok, then it tells me to manaully turn the device on so i try and all i get is the samsung logo (a good sign so i have read) and thats it nothing else happens.

After sometime i disconnect the phone from the computer to see what happened. All i get is the logo i can't even turn it off unless i remove the battery.

I have tried running the updater again and when i run it i get the main start screen (the one thats asks if the phone is fully charged and connected) plus i get a new option "emergency mode" but even this fails, it downloads file 1 then say download failed.

I have taken the battery out and left it over night and still no luck,

i have spoken with samsung and they are sending out a freepost bag to send it to them, but i would like to see if i can get it sorted without sending it to them.

I'm using vista can anyone help.

Only thing I can suggest is to try and extract the parts out of the ROM and manually flash them using GrandPrix. GrandPrix is available from Secany's post and you'll need some tools from the i900 kitchen to extract the parts out of the exe file.

Alternatively you can try flashing one of the custom ROMs, but if they're going to replace it for you, then why risk it?

they haven't said they replace it, they said they have a look at it.
