so I was digging through my windows directory with hidden files and what not revealed and i found this program called admin.exe the title bar says admin studio there're a number of selections and it looks like this

[ 1] Version

[ 2] Preconfiguration

[ 3] Network-Call Setting

[ 4] internal

1 and 3 have submenus to display and change settings if tapped on but 2 and 4 pops up a dialog that says Input password it then has a box for the input and a virtual neumarical keypad thats setup phone style it looks something like this

|____||back

|1||2||3|

|4||5||6|

|7||8||9|

|*||0||#|

| OK | |Cancel|

any way iv tried all sorts of things: a bunch of 0's, the last digits of my phone#, 1234...

all to no avail im not sure if this is a samsung tool or a windows mobile tool my guess is windows cause the icon was the MFC blocks thing.

but anyway

I was wondering if anyone knew what the pass was or could get in to it maybey it could help the efforts to unlock the gps or might just have some handy settings within

ps im on a i910

Yes, you are right, but it's the password for the "[ 2] Preconfiguration" menu item only.

I would love to know the pass for [3] and [4] too, because I happened to loose the capability of sending multi-part sms and I guess that it could be influenced by one of those sub-menus.

On the i900, the admin menu is either accessed through admin.exe or *#1546792*#.

First menu is Version, which has two options (HW version, SW version) that both redirect to the Version applet in the Settings/System.

Second menu, Preconfiguration, is protected by the password *#81230*#. It gives a screen when you can change the country and the operator; this changes the options available in Settings/Connections/Operator Settings. Using OK in this screen will hard reset the device -- but will also format My Storage.

Third menu, Network-Call Setting, contains options (Power On Attach, Service Domain, Network mode, Network order) to determine ie which type of data connection is used, the network service domain, and stuff.

Fourth menu, Internal, is protected by the password *#0807*. It contains some debug options, some of them which are protected by the password 1234:

1. Reset

*Should be obvious; hard resets the phone. Well, I can't exactly be sure. Haven't tested it as I don't want to lose my data.

>Factory Reset

>Custom Reset

2. TestMode

*Didn't test it.

3. Sec Dialer

*To enable or disable the OEM dialer. Same registry key.

>Enable

>Disable

4. IdleOrSuspend during call

*Didn't test it, but I guess Idle disables the screen turning off during a call.

>Idle

>Suspend

5. Call Poweroff Timeout

*Probably the timeout after which the screen turns off during a call.

>5sec

>10sec

>30sec

>Off

6. BT MacAddress

*The bluetooth chip MAC address. You can modify it here.

7. DiagKeySend

*No idea what it does.

>Disable

>Enable

8. TalkEndTest

*No idea what it does.

>Disable

>Enable

9. TalkEndTest dur

*No idea what it does.

It's strange. In my Omnia (currently with DXHK3 service rom) *#0807* doesn't work for accessing into the Internal submenu.

Well, I can confirm it works with mine (unbranded i900 with DXIA2)
