Basics of Omnia

Hello I'm Redmanc,

I'm new to this and new to the omnia thing altogether. just need to know a couple of things:

1. how do you get skins onto your Omnia? ( can you do it from you desktop or do you have to do it on your phone)

2. How and where do you get games? (again desktop or phone)

3. How do you generally use your Omnia?

Hello.

1. What kind of skins...for what part of your phone experience? Today screen? Keyboard? Dialer?

2. Either way. For most any program you can download it to your desktop and then transfer it to your phone as a .cab file or if it is an executable file, you have Activesync (or the Vista equivalent) and double click the executable and it will install automatically. Or you can download the .cab file directly to your phone. Double click on the cab file and it will install.

3. This is a very broad question. Are you asking in what general way people use the Omnia or are you asking for instructions about some specific tasks? If the former, I use mine for EVERYTHING. Literally. For work email. For personal email. It is my only camera and video camera. It is my music player, and every song I have is on it. It is my car radio. It is my internet browser. It is one of my significant game platforms. I have a good portion of my movie library on my phone and watch movies. I have a great many ebooks on it and I now read my phone more than I do actual books (I am reading Moby Dick right now). I acces my work computer from home using remote access. Yesterday I was helping my son build bookends for cub scouts and used Bubblelevel on my phone to straighten the surfaces.
