Guest fladmus Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 I felt I had to register and make a post on this awesome forum for my new phone. When I first purchased the Omnia I was really scared because I knew I had the option of purchasing this or the Iphone. My thinking was that I already don't know anything about Macs and so I was scared that the iphone would become too hard for me to style/configure so you know what I chose. I can't say that I wasn't disappointed with the Omnia when I first got it home. At first I was like "wow" but that wore off after about 20 minutes because it really wasn't that great, the look and the applications were simply lacking. I thought I was doomed to regret this purchase for the next year or two before being able to justify springin for a new one. Luckily I started googling and I came across this dedicated forum. By plowing through this forum for the past 4 days I have managed to locate a complete set of apps that surpass any expectations I ever had for this phone. I have also been able to give it just the look I was looking for, again because of information from this forum only. Heck I even got some good game hints (still looking for really good ones here, specially finger friendly games). I am very happy that you have all made me appreciate this phone as much as I do now. If you ask me now I would NOT trade this phone in for anything, I actually really love it now. Thank you everyone who contributes here, I will see if I ever get enough knowledge to help others out as well.

Guest Maxwell Newton Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I am exactly the same fladmus. I had the option of this or the iphone, and becuase this was a more powerful device i went for this. Instantly regretted it... it was SOO clunky and even now i have problems with music aps, i just kept thinking of how easy the iphone was and right out of the box, sync with itunes and everything is there! Since then (thanks to this forum and those at xda) i have installed loads of stuff on it, there are still a few things that i reall hate about it, but i think i made the right choice. I say think becuase i still havnt got it quite right! On that note.... im using ifonz, some bits are really great about it like the way it starts with windows and is always on top of the today screen, but you have to add programs to it manually which takes ages!! What other options are there? So all in all... thanks to everyone for all your help!!!
