Guest Maxwell Newton Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 That looks really nice, does it work in the same way as ifonz and SPB where you run it at the startup of the device, or is it a completely new skin for windows (i dont even know if thata possable!). Nice work, Max

Nice work, Max It works in the same was as ifonz and SPB - you require Wisbar Advanced Desktop from lakeridgesoftware.com - WAD is nice as it has the ability to lock out all the keys, so I implemented a screen lock rather than use other tools that use up extra resources,,
Guest bulderhart Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 OK, that does it! I definitely have to find a couple of hours to get started with WAD2. If only I could dump this project at work on ... oh well. It's incredible what you seem to be able to do with it. Great job! It's good to see that WAD is finally getting some tracktion among the Omnia community.
Guest shokka9 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) i have been trying to create a theme with WAD, it is quite easy to get the basics going, but i found that when you start adding pages etc, it gets all confused and gets all slow. Maybe me?? Also, it takes a while to realise that you need big icon images to work with. As most of the themes (like the vista one) have very small icons and are really not finger friendly. However Omnia Winker has made a superb looking theme. Well done, reminds me of Blockbusters (if anyone remembers it). Does this theme lag and slow down between pages?? If not, can you explain if you experienced this before and what you did to get rid of it. Keep up the good work! Edited February 11, 2009 by shokka9
Guest ferrari85 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) I have some trouble applying the theme though, initially the slider couldn't work and i had to edit the slider to "slider" to make it work. Thereafter i got to the home screen, and i see everything except the 6 panels around the central panel, and none of the links in the dock work. More instructions on how to set this thing up perhaps? I think this could be a problem when it was exported... I got a load of errors about scripts!!! Will work on it and let you know!

I have never noticed the lags you speak about! was you using wallpapers etc, I wonder if the device was just struggling with the amount of different graphics. I tried to keep my theme as clean as possible! By the way, currently using your ROM, its excellent. the most stable I have used and I have must flash my device once a fortnight... (Thanks for the blockbusters comment to, mate in my office said that too.....might have to stick a picture bob holness in there as a tribute!!)
Guest shokka9 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 no Omnia Winker. It may be the base theme i was playing with (vista by jokes on you). I stripped it right down and built it back up. Nothing major, just short cuts, i had the wallpaper as a soild colour (black). Whenever i created a new page, it would slow the whole WAD down. I like WAD tho, i am trying to do the same in M2D (obviously, no where near as good or as well), but moving stuff about. Its hard to say the least. Thanks for using my ROM, it is very good, i must admit. My next ones will be just as good, with some extra stuff that people have requested. Might slim down the M2D version too. Get Holness in there somewhere, it will confuse most people to death!! Well done, it looks mint!!

I had similar issues when I tried installing PLEASE TRY THE DOWNLOAD LINK AGAIN - I HAVE HOPEFULLY REPAIRED IT Download and More info Will definitely give this a try because this is by far one of the best themes I've seen. If I can get this working you'll need to send me a donate link.

Pages take alot more memory and they are what cause the lag. I am creating a theme right now and all I use is docks because of this reason. If your running in low memory mode the lag is worse.
