Recording a phone conversation

Does anybody who has checked out the SP SDK know if it is possible to write an app which you can have sitting in the background recording any incoming and outgoing phone conversations. With some kind of interface to active and deactivate it - and save the audio as .wma format i guess?

A built in line-tap ;)

It theoretically isn't possible. Unless you program a new bluetooth driver, you won't be able to access anything. Apparently, when you choose to answer the phone (even before answering it) audio is already pumped by the hardware to the speaker of choice. I've done exhausting research on it, and so far the bluetooth option remains, but understanding how that works, I don't have a clue. So in short, it ain't possible on the smartphones (not to mention technically illegal).

Theory and practise are too different things, if you go HERE you'll find I've discovered that a program already does this, just it's not available for Win2003SE yet, only 2002and 2003, but I guess if you know what you're doing you could try and work out how it's working.
