Guest Maxwell Newton Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Hello, I am trying to add a new SPB skin to my omnia, and you have to overwrite some files, now i could do this from within the device, but it would be much easier to copy them straight from my computer to the device in the correct place. I have USB storage turned off, so active sync is on, when i open my computer i go to Maxwell's Smartphone, then i have the option to open any of the storage areas on the device. However, when i open "\" there is no 'Windows' folder.... When i use the file explorer on the device there is... Any ideas? Thanks! Max

Max I don't know why this is, but I've never been able to access the windows folder from my PC. I think it could be some sort of protection mechanism for the omnia

On tab tools go to folder options. Then go to tab view and search for hide protected operating system files (recomended) and uncheck this option. Now you will be able to view windows from omnia in pc folders.

I can confirm this works! Btw for vista users, you have to go to Control Panel -> folder options, but everyone probably knows that already anyway!
