Guest eugopnosaj Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I thought it was WQVGA ready? Not on my Omnia it isn't! http://www.pointui.com/ working fine on mine so far
Guest Adrynalyne Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I have a gap at the top of the screen where my original wallpaper on my Today screen bleeds through.
Guest tj077 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 I thought it was WQVGA ready? Not on my Omnia it isn't! http://www.pointui.com/ not working on my omnia either. freezes.
Guest eugopnosaj Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 hmm i retract my original quote, it is still a bit buggy, the original pointui interface was a lot better, but obviously it wouldnt run on wqvga phones...
Guest anubi1126 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Installs ok works upto a point but does freeze a lot
Guest Maxwell Newton Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 looks good, know of any vids or screenshots?
Guest Adrynalyne Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Aside from the resolution problem I am having for some reason--it feels very half baked. A bit of eye candy, but no real substance or usefulness. IMO, of course.
Guest eugopnosaj Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 looks good, know of any vids or screenshots? if you go on the website there are plently of shots on there
Guest zagzag99 Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 It works. There's a resolution problem. And switching to "Contacts" make it freeze (until I terminate it with TaskManager) Other than that it's animation is fast and nice. Too bad not fully working yet :-(
Guest MARICE Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) Hello guys, kinda new her, but not a complete noob. i've installed pointui with the .cab file.. now i need to see a pointui icon under "programs" on my omnia.. problem is... its not there.. anyone have this issue? maybe my shortcut just isnt created.. but i dont see a .exe or sumthing to run either, under my "program files" folder.. :S can anyone help me at this? Guest Daugvolf Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) As other users in the PointUI forum have pointed out, the Omnia is not one of the officially supported devices. Looks like just Xperia and HTC devices at the moment. No word from the devs if Omnia will officially ever be supported either. Yet again HTC users get all the fun and us Omnia users get the shaft again. Edited February 11, 2009 by Daugvolf

Seriously...why advertise its for WQVGA if they can't deliver. Edited February 11, 2009 by Adrynalyne

Guest Daugvolf Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 They fixed it. Looks like there was an issue with all wqvga devices. You can get the patched exe here: http://community.pointui.com/topic/omnia
Guest Gibeon Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Still hangs when going to contacts....
Guest Frankish Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Also theres a big empty space below the buttons. Between the 4 buttons and your bottom bar.
Guest bobobird Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Dont know what the "fix" fixed. Appearance and behaviour was no different before or after that fix.
Guest Frankish Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Dont know what the "fix" fixed. Appearance and behaviour was no different before or after that fix. It stopped my wallpaper from showing through at the top of the UI.

You must have a special Omnia that was able to overcome incorrect pixel size then. For those who have Contact freezing, that hasn't happened to me. Its just a little anemic, but I expect that for a beta.
Guest MARICE Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Its a today plugin, you have to go start, settings, today, the click the items tab, its not under today plugings either :s thnx for the tip anyway.
Guest Adrynalyne Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 its not under today plugings either :s thnx for the tip anyway. That happens if its not installed to the Device Memory.
Guest d412k5t412 Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 (edited) On my Omnia i910 the only problem I had was a gap at the top. That Home2.exe fix worked. Thats the only problem I've had after pretty much using every option. I love it. Edited February 12, 2009 by d412k5t412
