Guest liamwolf Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) I've actually done nothing to my phone, thus far, expect add a few applications to it. Everything else is functioning fine, but the camera is messing up. It wont load completely and gets stuck on the loading screen. Its basically what I say it is, its saying "Loading" and just staying there, but when I plug it into the computer it will add "Press Button to cancel GPS" I try to press the button and nothing happens. The camera is one of the major reason that I got this phone instead of the HD, and the windows mobile software is the reason I got it over the Pixon. So, I need it to work. :( To add on, I've tried Soft and Hard Resets but nothing happens. Edited March 29, 2009 by liamwolf
Guest liamwolf Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Update: When I open the camera it makes a beeping sound that it didn't before, and when I close it really fast I can see what looks to be a blank error report. Anyone have a solution to this problem?
Guest liamwolf Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Okay, Tried another Hard Reset, and I've tried changing the zones. I'll go ahead and try to update to the newest official rom. If it doesn't work I'll get the person that I bought it from to send it to Samsung.
Guest liamwolf Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Quadrupole post, but I have found the problem, and I'll be trying to fix it. I've went a different route and finally got to see what that error message said "absence of camera module" I'll now be digging through my fathers i900 to see if I can grab the module. If not then I'll update. If anyone has a solution to this problem already please tell me.
Guest liamwolf Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 The GPS_ID file had somehow been deleted from my phone, after adding that and doing another hard-reset + a soft reset. I am now able to use the camera again. Meaning that this topic can be buried now.
Guest Blobs Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Glad you got it fixed. I've posted just so that you know that someone is reading this!
Guest liamwolf Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 Yeah, I kind-of went overboard with the posting. Just wanted to track my status so that others that had the same problem would know how I fixed it. Anyway, thanks.
Guest liamwolf Posted March 29, 2009 Report Posted March 29, 2009 Bringing this thread back because the problem is back and the solution I used before isn't working.
Guest liamwolf Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 I just found out that the flashlight won't come either. Which means that it's hardware, or the software isn't allow it to find the actual module, probably the ladder. Anyone got a solution for this? I'd have a hard time sending it back because I bought it online close to two months ago.
Guest mackel53 Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 im having the same problem with my camera module. where can i get the gps_id file and where would i put it?
Guest Sea-Breeze Posted September 19, 2009 Report Posted September 19, 2009 hey ! change ur bloody rom !!!! thats it
Guest N_M_S Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 (edited) hey ! change ur bloody rom !!!! thats it that's your solution. Obviously the ROM stored on the device is messed up. BTW, adding the GPS_ID then hard reset will delete the file again; if it is the problem, it has to be there in the rom. long story short hey ! change ur bloody rom !!!! thats it Edited September 23, 2009 by N_M_S
