DXIA5/IA2/SHK16M: Updated 21/03/09

Some little changes, thats why you need to read the instructions below..HTC Album now works as it should, by that i mean if you tap on an image, it now opens properly with HTC Album. Before it opened HTC Album, but not the images. It is now fixed (thanks sector). Windows Live is back and so is HTC Task Manager (thank god). I have also added my version of the XT9 keypads. Enjoy . I have some updated apps, including the new YouTube app, this is available on the Internet tab in M2D, works great!! :( . Its very quick!

Well, what can i say, thanks to stevenh's xip i can build DXIA5 with this, the mouse issue is fixed (and tested), and the multi selection is fixed too except in messages :lol: . Piece of cake when you know how :( . So big respect to StevenH, you making this happen. YouTube installs itself after the theme customisation, no need to reset. Just make sure you have an internet connection before you run it.

21193 - WM6.5

Well, thanks to sector (as always) for his hard work on WM6.5 to get it to this very usable stage. Also big respect to qbus & khuanchai for their input in the beginning - and continued work on WM6.5). I have built a very nice WM6.5 ROM based on the same ROM as the others here below (DXIA5) but with 21193 SYS & XIP.

There are some obvious difference, see images below. Memory is around 130mb with 90 something free. Not bad considering whats in it really. Enjoy it :( .

It works same as 20954 but quicker in my opinion. Apps launch very quick, everything seems to work. Been using it since last night and not had any issues with anything i cooked or anything that comes with WM6.5. Just removed the Windows Default Today screen. I will not be adding it back, sorry if you liked it. If you like it, use sector's, qbus or khuanchai's. I making M2D ROMs in this thread, sorry dudes.

Download Instructions & Installation for 21193 WM6.5 (PLEASE READ)

1> Download all parts of the ROM. Extract part 1 only, it will extract the other parts.

When it has extracted the ROM, install as usual.

2> When you get the ROBOT/WM6.5 screen wait for it to reboot. When it reboots it will default to Windows default home today screen. You should now be able to get your MMS etc working as below.

3> To get your MMS & Internet settings; goto Settings, Connections, Operator; select different operator to yours (any). Wait 25 secs, then goto connection settings, operator settings and select your proper operator. Your net, MMS, SMS settings will now be active. PLEASE READ: THIS IS IMPORTANT!!!!

4> To set up the black theme, change in Settings\system\today. Also you can deselect the Windows today and use M2D by selecting in the items menu.

5> To get the honeycomb menu as in the pics, disable the Large menu in Settings\system\large display

6> Install Google YouTube, download attached cab and install to device memory.

7> Soft Reset after this....or after some other tweaking :D

2> When you get the ROBOT screen (where you normally tap to begin configuration), wait for the Omnia to RESTART first!!..Then do as normal. When it finally boots, it will run customisation automatically and install the black theme (and YouTube on 20954) Proceed as normal...(IT WILL NOT REBOOT HERE)

For every day, i'm using Viigo RSS, podcast reader etc. http://www.viigo.com/home.

In my opinion, it is best RSS reader and very finger friendly..

With Winmo 6.5 I have received following (pl. see attached):

I think it is conflict with IE6.

Could you write recomendations to solve this?

21198 will be release tomorrow or Sunday, not even started on it yet. Got the stuff, just need to get busy with it!! I dont have as much free time as the others (i have full time job, 3 kids, a partner ect ect) So my time is precious, but i really wanna get a move on with 21198.

Yeah, removing hex totally, may use the hex selection (blue or original). My manilla will be updated, but it will still be soooooooo classy and modern (trust me). :(

Just wanna make the whole thing look slick....want to reskin everything, but i dont have time really. Do a little at a time and eventually it will be done :(.

I did read it. I just want to know why the mouse has been withdrawn from it? Can it be corrected easily with a new full ROM install? Is it a Windows Mobile 6.5 issue?? -- There's just times when big thumbs/fingers just not dainty enough for Windows Mobile, having the mouse helps.

Also noticed that in M2D when I select the 'My Favs' tab and try to use it, Manila just fails to load..., don't know why or if you aware of it.

Good ROM none-the-less, still early days for me testing it, less than 24hrs on it!

I hope the battery during Wifi use is better B)

It is WM6.5 issue for the moment, it is easier to leave it out or it is faulty when left in.

Also noticed that in M2D when I select the 'My Favs' tab and try to use it, Manila just fails to load..., don't know why or if you aware of it. Dont use it...The M2D i give you is like that by design, if you use My Favs, then try installign another theme. I may have to change some settings for you (and anybody else). Will do it!

Been using your 14M for quite some time-love it, and i thought it's time to move on to an updated version.

I tried your 21193...however, after the rom is updated...i got stuck at the screen alignment.

No matter what i do, i cannot get pass that alignment screen. The touch screen is still responsive though..but the system just don't allow me to bypass it.

i'm afraid that i may have issues because my 2 different batteries which i use run out of juice rather quickly.

Also, try not to press too hard, just firm enough.

Apparently this can happen with WM6.5 ROMs, it shouldnt be an issue with the older ROMs tho.

I used your ROM for a week, but I don't remember the version...

It was WM6.1 yet...

But with M2D, when I rotate the screen, the TODAY looks ugly...

When I used the QBUS version, this problem occurs too...

Is there any solution for this?

Hello, I have a problem. I would like to connect to internet for WiFi. I can connect to my Wifi Home and the weather update but I dont know if I have to configure "OPERA" or "INTERNET EXPLORER" because I try to enter in www.google.com and a message says "ERROR No Connection".
