cant comment, firstly: NO, this has never happened.

Can you please post what version you have (firmware), so people can (maybe) provide help.

Have you ever hard reset it?

sounds like a faulty handset, i have heard quite a few of these issues. Generally from people who do not like Omnia due to this bad experience.

I would return to shop or seller for repair or replacement.

Good luck.

what do you mean by turning off.

screen going blank and instantly comes back on with single power press and can use straight away.

or when turning on reboots with omnia logo.

this also happened me alot but totally different problem to most but you may as well try....... mine kept turning off in my pocket and it was because the pins touching battery where not prominent enough to make good contact so any shake turned it off, i poked them out a bit and worked........ you never know mite be the case with yours

i have a problem fairly simmillar to yours.. :P

i charge it over night and in the morning, i can hear the the phone ringing or the g-alarm but the screen is completelly black and no button responds.. also, quite often latelly, the same thing happens with the phone sleeping in my pocket.. it doesn't react to any type of input when i try to wake it on random ocasions.. :( might be the s2u or wktask? i have the buhg5 for phone and the buhh2/hh3 for pda.. it's branded vodafone.. i'd fancy flashing but i don't know if i want m2d or just a clean rom (or if it works, being branded and all).. yet.. and another thing, the battery wouldn't last longer than a day (max 10 songs played + 30 mins of bejewelled + 20 talk) (igo8 lasts about 40-50 mins from full to nearly 0) :D B) :P

what to do?

thanks a lot guys!

I had a similar problem...

With a certain operator config, when I turned on my omnia, it always reseted, like in an infinite loop...

But if I removed my operator chip, the problem stoped...

So, i did this...

Maybe you can try...

YOUR PHONE WILL BE HARD RESETED!

1- Turn off your Phone

2- Remove your chip

3- Turn on your Phone, without chip

4- If the emergency screen appears, press cancel

5- Now press PHONE (or open your DIAL MENU)

6- Type this: *#1546792*#

7- Select: pre

8- Type this: *#81230*#

9- Select PHILIPPINES and choose GLOBE

10- Your phone will be restarted and then you should turn off

11- Insert your chip and turn on again

In my case, the problem was solved. Try it, maybe this is your solution!
