Phone Line Unable to Turn On after ROM upgrade

Hi guys,

i just downloaded the lastest ROM from Samsung's official website.

PDA: DXHK3/DZHK3

Phone: DZHk3

After installing it, my phone is in flight mode. WiFi and Bluetooth looks fine. I tried using Wireless Manager to turn on all 3 and only the Phone line would not activate.

Tried hard resets but it didnt work.

I tried to flash it again but it says incorrect version. i tried an older version (DZHH3 - i think i was using this one before the flash), but it is says incorrect version again.

i looked into Paul's thread and i tried to activate AdminSettings.exe using *#1546792*#, instead, it asked me "The wireless radio is currently off. Do you want to turn it on?". Selecting either one doesnt do anything noticeable. I also tried *#638738# and it pop-up the same thing.

I tried Massive Attack's method but it did not work either.

Another guy from a different website, upgraded his ROM and faced similar problems. Samsung service center said ROM killed the motherboard. Is that possible? He then got them to replace his unit.

Can anyone help me? I'm a noob in this and dare not try anything too complex.

i had the same issue and on top of things activesync wouldn't recognize my Omnia. I sent mine in for repairs only to find that i had to get the entire motherboard replaced. Maybe your situation is different from mine because my storage was also defective and was not recognized. However the repairman told me they were 2 seperate defects so you might have the same issue I did. Try reflashin, if it doesn't work it needs to be turned in for repairs.

i had this once (among other issues) and reflashed with secany's hk3 rom...works fine now...

thanks guys. i've been trying to download Secany's ROM but download rate is very slow. Will try it as soon as possible.

Hopefully, i can solve it without sending it to for repairs.
