Guest dwallersv Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 hi my friends :( how to share my adsl connection via BLUETOOTH on my omnia? thankssss Might not be as straightforward as you think. You need to enable a BT PAN server on the PC. The generic MS Windows BT stack does not support this feature, so if you're using the generic stack, you're out of luck. You'll need to get a more feature-rich BT stack, like the Toshiba stack. You can easily find this on the web via google. Once you have a BT PAN server set up and enabled on your PC, set up a BT partnership between your PC and your Omnia. Then, go to Settings->Connections->(My ISP)Add a new modem connection. Enter a name (like, HomeNetwork, or something) Select "Bluetooth" under "Select a modem", click Next You will now be able to select your PC as the bluetooth device to connect to when using this connection. If you don't see it in the selection box, click "Add New Device...", and after searching, the Omnia should find it, then select it. If it isn't found, there are one of two problems: BT on your PC is not "discoverable" -- go into the settings for BT on your PC and turn on discovery. OR, your BT PAN server is not set up right / not working, in which case the PC is not advertising the PAN service as one of the BT services available. If this is the case, you're on your own to troubleshoot this one. Finish out the setup wizard. Go back to the Settings-> Connections screen. Click the "Advanced" tab. Click the "Select Networks" button. Click the dropdown under "Programs that automatically connect to the internet should connect using:" and select the new bluetooth connection you just created. Click [OK], [OK], and you're done! Now, browse the internet with Opera, PIE, whatever turns you on. You'll be connecting through BT to your PC, which will gateway you out to the internet over your DSL connection.
