hey guys, me being my genious self decided i should debrand my new omnia, long story short, although the process said it had completed, the phone boots to a blank screen (no bootloader or anything) when i charge it the red light at the top still apears but when i turn it on the lights etc turn on but the screen stays blank, i've tried several times to re-flash but it allways gets to the downloading pda #1 bit and just hangs and the phone eventually turns itself off causing it to fail, the phone is detected on the computer as a "windows ce device" and more specifically as "samsung MITs USB sync" any chance anyone out their can help me, i've tried several frimwares (one actually shows the green bars on the phone) the other just keeps it blank and have tried via. the exe method and grandprix

can anyone help me here?! :(

What firmware have you tried?

cheers mate downloading as we speak, anything in particular this one has over the other or its just a jab in the dark?

It´s old and the only firmware that made me go from a HongKong rom to a DZ ROM... xD, so it´s kind off just a jab in the dark xD.

plz let me know if it worked

unfortunately it didn't, its frozen at the same downloading PDA #1 thing but suprisingly enough the bars on the phone have frozen at a different point

Okej, u can try this ROM if u want, it´s a very good and up to date ROM. http://www.modaco.com/content/i9x0-omnia-r...rom-30-01-2009/

btw, have u enough battery charge in your device?

Try to reinstall Samsung modem drivers and activesync.

Can u post a screen-shot where it fails? If u are trying to update the ROM again:P

what do people think about the samsung service centres? seeing as it really just seems my bootloader is down the crapper, do you think they will re-flash the phone for me without a receipt? if they demand $$ how much do you think it would be?

The solution is available and is cheap.

Do you figure you're getting off easy? Or is it hitting you kinda hard?

Just curious. Good luck.
