Which custom rom is recommended to use?

Hi,I have read alot of this thread since morning until i got blur ... so need some advise from you guys ...I am living in Singapore and currently using DZHK3 rom. Do I need to install some other rom first before I can install the custom rom?Also, after installing the custom rom and lets say the offical rom e.g. dzhl1 is out and I have decided to use the official rom. Can I just flash it or there are some steps to follow?Which rom is recommended to use since I cannot find one that have a side by side comparision whereby this rom has what kind of app/softwares. ?
