I was thinking how cool would it be if the touch screen on my omnia could be used as digital scales, just in case i ever needed to weigh anything. anyone know if this is possible. And also what about some sort of night vision setting for the camera is this totally impossible?

Anyone who has any other ideas for cool apps that'll probably never be possible, please share them.

I doubt it. First of all if you put too much preasure it would break your screen. And besides that the screen is not so sensitive and works via two conductive layers so you either touch or you don't so i don't think that it's possible.

Yes that would be impossible too because (if you wanted a really crude ir camera) you'd have to implement a light filter to filter a speciffic source of light and then you would need to have a ir module to emit a lightsource. So that's impossible to. You could amp up the light settings of your camera and use a flash to have more light but that wouldn't be it would it.

Can't the screen recognise sensitivity, i wouldn't be weighing heavy items, maybe only just a couple of grams.
