Guest pd.ryder Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 Here's the deal guys:- As above, my 4211 has been MSI'd with bios 1.09, but is otherwise running 'stock' everything. I'm fond of using the wee beastie next to the 40" Sony Bravia to stream video from the network HDD. I connect via VGA and audio is fed into the Sony 5.1 system. All, generally, works well - full screen and 'ok' audio although obviously not 5.1 Now, I usually back-up vid as divx. I decided to try using an HD source and a Matroska H264 codec at 720p and AC3 audio. When playing it back over the 4211/Sony setup described above, I'm getting absolutely dreadful audio sync problems - I mean it starts off 'nearly' sync'd and ends up at least a sentence or two ahead or behind the video. It's the same if I use ZoomPlayer or WMP. Overclocking at 24% doesn't resolve it. I have the most recent Combined Community Codec Pack installed too. I'm wondering if this is down to the capabilities (or lack of) of the 4211, or if there's something I can do to help this sync problem along a bit. The video is rendered very nicely, but this sync problem is making things unwatchable. Any ideas? :(
Guest pd.ryder Posted February 16, 2009 Report Posted February 16, 2009 I might have solved my own problem :( I've updated the FFDShow and Haali codecs using ZoomPlayer's utility. Things seem better now and I'll try connecting via the Sony later and see what happens... B)
Guest pd.ryder Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 Yup. Definitely sorted by updating FFDShow and Haali splitter. There's plenty of power in these lil netbooks for dumb-ass HD video playback... :(
