Guest travelbug Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 just read at wmexperts that bolt the new wm browser is available for open beta. according to the guys review it appears to be very stable but this is what caught my interest: "Download speeds were fast. Surprisingly fast. Wickedly fast. Fast enough to make some desktop users consider abandoning their desktop and go exclusively to their Windows Mobile phone for internet access. I was able to load the full WMExperts.com site easily under five seconds; images and all." im gonna download it now anyone interested heres the link: http://www.boltbrowser.com/index.html tell me how it goes for you guys cheers

Guest Neil5459 Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 I tried this 2 weeks ago, but gave up on it. Main program loading is slow, page loading is fast, and navigation is poor. This is a Java application and has a lot of the faults we see in other Java stuff. There is no Soft keyboard (at least in the version I tried) for direct text entry- any text box or address entry opens up a full screen editor which does have access to the SIP. Devices without a D-Pad will have problems- my X7510 was unable to access a lot of functions unless the hard keyboard was attached. This has potential but give it a few more months to mature.

Guest zagzag99 Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 The links they send on email are good for one time usage. They expire the moment they are being accessed. So make sure you don't press them anywhere else but with a browser supporting Java Midlets. The browser speed is more or less like the others, in my tests. There's a problem with some languages support. At my ends some sites can't be read.
