Guest Jaywalkersw Posted February 17, 2009 Report Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) For some reason I noticed today that my 910's device storage memory had some how dropped from 16mbs free to 0. I managed to delete a few things and get it back up to like 2mbs. I am thinking about doing a hard reset to free up memory and start over, but have questions about doing a hard reset. Will doing a hard reset get rid of the verizon specific applications, or will it just set the device back to the way it was when I first got it from verizon? Anyone know how much space the verizon appstore program takes up...I particularly don't use it and have been toying with getting rid of it. Also any common problems I should be aware of after/ during hard resets? Finally, if I wanted to use something besides the touchwiz gui what do you all recommend that is just as stable and more functional as touchwiz and how do I install it? Thanks for the help in advance! Edited February 17, 2009 by Jaywalkersw
Guest Chugworth Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 It sets it back to the way you got it from Verizon. It does not remove any of their customizations. There's no problems; it's a supported procedure. Just make sure you copy off any important files or information that you have on it first. After its reset, you'll need to go through the initial welcome screens, and put all the settings back to the way you had them. On the screen calibration page, remember to use the stylus instead of your finger.
Guest Jaywalkersw Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Thanks, it keeps asking me for a security code. Any idea where I could find out what it is?

Guest 95SKY Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 i had a similar problem instead of doing a hard reset i used sk tools and gave the system a clean up and it cleared about 20 mbs. Worked great for me
