Hey guys,

I am having a helluva time trying to get ActiveSync to work over a bluetooth connection. So far I have configured everything correctly as far as I can tell. I'm using Blackjack2 w/Windows Mobile 6.1, Activesync 4.5, and the generic Xp SP2 bluetooth drivers.

Bluetooth unit: Azio USB Micro BT Adapter BTD-V201(installed and functioning with XP SP2 generic drivers)

ON PC (Phone partnership setup successfully)

I have configured the Bluetooth device options to use COM9 as an incoming port.

I have configured the Phone and Modem options for "Standard Modem over Bluetooth link" to use COM9.

I have configured ActiveSync to "Allow conenctions to one of the following:" to use COM9

ON BJ2 (Win Mo 6.1, partnership setup successfuly)

I have the Pc listed in Bluetooth devices, when I select to configure the Pc listed, the name of the pc is correct, but I only have the Serial Port service listed and checked, when I click refresh it is the only service that is ever listed.

Then, when I go into Activesync on the BJ2 and select Menu->Connect Via Bluetooth I get the Info screen that tells me "Cannot find an existing Bluetooth partnership with a PC that supports Activesync. Would you like to set up a partnership now?"

I click "Yes" and it brings me to the bluetooth devices window, where I see my Pc listed, I select my PC and still the only service listed is the "Serial Port" which is checked.

This is were the vicious cycle is driving me insane, My phone is paired correctly and yet I can not sync over bluetooth.

Any help would be great

It's kind of a pain. I followed the steps toward the bottom of this thread and eventually got it to work. Getting the ActiveSync service to show up is the hardest part- I'm not sure how I finally got it to work, truth be told.

Good luck!
