So far I've gotten some complaints that I'm sending out duplicate sms'. In other words, i've gotten a text back with "Why do you keep sending 2 of the same texts?"

Anyone else got the same problem or a cure? Im on DXIA2 Qbus' lite rom.

I get this all the time. This happens to me, I think, because the phone tells me that the text msg. can't be sent, so naturally I send it again but in the end I guess it ends up sending the message that "couldn't be sent". I got the i910 with verizon...

I had the same problem, too. Then i read in this forum that you should disable the "WAP push message" in the phone settings.

I think now it had stopped for me.

Can you elaborate on that? So I went to Phone and then the More tab and turned off push message receiving option, is this correct?

Also, will this effect the ability for e-mails to be sent directly to my phone via automatic sync?

The reson for this can be a network/reception issue.

Basically if you send an SMS message, the message is sent to the networks server, from this server it is then sent to the target device.

The target device must then send a confirmation message back to the server to say that it has recieved it.

If the confirmation message does not arrive within a specified time the server will re-sends the message and may continue to until it gets the recieved confirmation.

But if it sends duplicates nearly every text I send, something besides the network has to be up, no? Is it possible that the delay could be occuring over and over? And to multiple phones as well. For all I know it could be happening to others as well, just no one has bothered calling me out on it. And it's not just over the course of a day, but the first duplicate complaint I got was last week and then another I got today.
