They just pass the calls off to some other dept or fob the customer off. What training have you had on it or are you just going on your own knowledge because you own an SPV???

I work for customer services but Im not the type that "fobs" people off, i get it done. If im not able to answer the question, I know people who can. Guest J1A1H Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 Alright i have a problem which is so ANNOYING. well when i put my phone on the cradle it is detected on the computer, and the actve sync usually opens and starts to sync staight away. BUTTTT the active sync does not open even when i click on it on the desk top or everythin. I DON'T KNOW WAT TO DO PLEASE HELP THANKS IN ADVANCE

Guest morpheus Posted January 30, 2003 Report Posted January 30, 2003 J1A1h, I have sent you an email with a few questions for you to answer but there is one left, here it is (may sound simple) * Press Programs, goto ActiveSync and press Menu and choose Options * Scroll to PC Settings * option 1 should be ticked * option 2 should be USB * option 3 should be ticked * option 4 (CONNECT TO) should be your username Wot else do u have running when ActiveSync is on? Last of all (for the mo) there are known bugs with activesync and the SPV, may be a problem. Speak to you soon J1A1H MONOLITHIX - There is no date available yet, I will tell you when I found out. He has nothing to gain from helping us except maybe learn what we think of the phone, so if anything he'd be in a favourable position to help instigate changes. Give him a chance to prove himself before crucifying him. Toothpick I gave Orange customer services a chance...........they took 5 days to connect my SPV as an upgrade. Called them everyday, and they just kept saying there is a backlog. Called on the 4th day........oh sorry we had temps answering the phones and seem to have lost all your details, your new phone has not been registered with us..Aaargh !!! Not until after 5 days was my new SPV connected to the network, so I could make calls.

I hear from microsoft.public.smartphone that there's going to be a Smartphone FAQ up on that website in the next week as well. Anyone's guess as to whether it'll be any good though.

Saying that you are Orange CS is a very brave thing indeed, so welcome and let's hope we do get some good and interesting news from first hands. Could you please let me have details of what was fixed in the DK patch update in terms of improving stability and speed. I have tried to find out EXACTLY what this patch fixes but no one has a clue..... What applications does it modify?? Which bugs in the OS does it handle??, Will the UK Bug release fix be the same as the DK one but with UK support and language rather than DK?? I develop for the SPV ( or at least try to) and I keep coming up against issues. I need to know if they are my fault (which I doubt....code with confidence!) and... if they havent been fixed in the OS I need to write patches and improve the issues causing latency etc. Can you help? Try to do a search this was posted not long ago http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic...=asc&highlight= Your comment about no one has a clue is a bit harsh :evil: We DO have a clue and have posted our findings. The best thing about the update is the extended battery life. It's been two days and I'm on 58% I will post more details in the relevent post later.
